2 Puskesmas in West Jakarta to Be Type D Hospitals

Efforts to improve healthcare services in the capital city keep being done by Jakarta Health Department. One of them is by increasing the status of 18 community health centers (puskesmas) into type D hospitals in five municipalities. Of those 18 community health centers, two of them are Kalideres and Kembangan community health centers that located in West Jakarta.

Addition of surgery room and mortuary as well as other facilities will be done gradually

Since the status of those two community health centers to be increased to type D hospitals in 2015, West Jakarta Health Department is currently accelerating the procurement of surgery room and mortuary in both community health centers. For other standards such as specialist doctors for internist and pediatrician as well as inpatient room with 10 beds, those are already almost met.

“Addition of surgery room and mortuary as well as other facilities will be done gradually,” stated Head of West Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Widyastuti, Sunday (10/19).

This Year, Tanjung Priok Puskesmas Transformed Into Hospital Type D

According to Widyastuti, with the presence of type D hospitals, the residents can still get optimal healthcare services without having to form long queue in Cengkareng General Hospital (RSUD) which always packed with patients every day.

“With type D hospitals, public services would be better and the people would be more accommodated in the future,” she said.
